Eddie L. Patton Jr., MD, MBA, MS

Houston's Top Neurologist

My approach to caring for patients is simple. I listen and put my patients first. Medicine is an art; it all begins with listening to your patient and coming up with a comprehensive and practical work-up and treatment plan.

Common Conditions Dr. Patton Treats:

"The key to medicine, in my opinion,
is the patient-physician relationship".

Peripheral Neuropathy

Symptoms include pain, a pins-and-needles sensation, numbness, and weakness.

Myopathy

This condition affects the skeletal muscles, which are used for movement.

Alzheimer’s Disease

Alzheimer’s disease if a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important mental functions.

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis causes many different symptoms, including vision loss, pain, fatigue, and impaired coordination.

Migraines

Migraines and headaches can cause throbbing in one particular area that can vary in intensity.

Patient Appointments

Choosing a specialist like Dr. Patton to supervise your overall healthcare is essential. An open relationship can be a powerful factor in maintaining your physical and emotional well-being for the long term. Good communications will assist with the appropriate health and medication regiments so you can feel and function better despite your current condition.
New patients will need to complete a medical intake questionnaire, which is available to download in advance. The questionnaire will ask for details on your health history, the condition you are being referred for, and any other conditions for which you are being treated. New patient consults are approximately 30-60 minutes and will include a thorough neurological exam. Follow up exams will take approximately 15-30 minutes.
Only you know what is going on in your body on a day-to-day basis. Your role is to provide your doctor information about your health history, medications and symptoms, and to report any specific changes in your condition since your last medical appointment.

“Dr. Patton is the most respectable, caring doctor I’ve had in my life. After 7 years of constant pain, I was referred to him. I had seen 6 other Neurologists! Dr. Patton did 3 simple things and diagnosed me right away.”

“Dr. Patton is a friendly, professional physician who puts you at ease. He allows you to talk and listens and explains things well. I would recommend him to anyone.”

“Dr. Patton is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced in the field of neurology. I am grateful that my primary care physician referred me to such a dedicated and compassionate doctor several years ago. Dr. Patton continues to monitor and treat my neurological condition. I look forward to returning to his office for checkups, because I know he is committed to excellence in the field of neurology, and he clearly cares about his patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough.”
